Legacy Pet Studio is a portrait studio based in Chapin, South Carolina. We collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, communicate with clients, create commissioned portraits, and operate this website.

When you submit an inquiry, we may collect:
Your first and last name
Your email address and telephone number
Your city, state, or general location
Details about the portrait you have in mind
An occasion, requested timeframe, and contact preference
How you heard about Legacy Pet Studio
If an inquiry becomes a commission, you may later provide photographs, stories, delivery information, approvals, and other details needed to create and deliver the portrait. We do not collect payment-card or banking information through this website.
How We Use Information

Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you
Evaluate, plan, create, and manage a portrait commission
Provide estimates, confirmations, and client service
Maintain business and transaction records
Protect the website and prevent misuse
Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to promotional emails. We will not add you to a marketing list without your consent.

Analytics and Cookies
This website uses Squarespace’s standard analytics and cookies to understand general website activity and maintain site functionality. This may include information about your browser, device, network, referring pages, pages visited, interactions, approximate location, and timestamps.
Legacy Pet Studio does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party advertising trackers. Where available, the website’s cookie controls allow you to accept, decline, or manage nonessential cookies.

Service Providers
Squarespace hosts this website and processes information needed to operate the site and transmit form submissions. Google’s Gmail service may be used to receive and respond to communications. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Legacy Pet Studio maintains its working inquiry and client records directly for its own business purposes. We do not currently use an online payment processor on this website.

Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose limited information to service providers when necessary to operate the website, communicate with you, produce or deliver a commission, comply with law, protect legal rights, or prevent fraud and misuse.
Personal information, source photographs, client stories, and commissioned portraits will not be used for promotional purposes unless authorized separately. Any portfolio or publicity permission is handled as part of the client relationship, not through this Privacy Statement.
Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, complete commissions, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information under our control; however, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s Privacy
This website and Legacy Pet Studio’s commissioning services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Children may appear in photographs or commissioned portraits provided or authorized by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate adult involvement, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

You may contact us to ask what personal information we maintain about you, request a correction, or ask that information be deleted. We will consider and respond to reasonable requests, subject to records we may need to retain for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.
